SPMB energizes the project to replace the superheater wire of Ben Tre – My Tho 220kV transmission line

(DCSVN) – The project has a large scale and main items: Replacing the existing electrical conductor type ACSR 300/48 220kV line Ben Tre – My Tho with superheated conductors with composite core ACCC316, especially the sections crossing the Tien and Tien rivers. My Tho uses ACCC ULS 314 load-bearing composite core superheat conductors.

Ben Tre – My Tho 220kV transmission line has been completed and loaded

On September 29, 2020, at the 220kV Substation (TBA) of My Tho and Ben Tre, the Southern Power Project Management Board (SPMB) coordinated with relevant units to organize the energization of the project instead Superheater line (DZ) 220kV Ben Tre – My Tho.

The project is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), using capital mobilized and allocated by EVNNPT according to plan. SPMB represents EVNNPT to manage the project; Power Construction Joint Stock Company 2 is the design unit; Electrical Construction Company Limited 2 is the construction unit Dai Long Trading Manufacturing Electric Wire and Cable Co., ltd supplies wires and accessories; 4 Unit Power Transmission Company is the consulting unit that supervises and takes over management and operations when the project is completed.​

Project scale and main items: Replace existing ACSR 300/48 electrical conductor type 220kV Ben Tre – My Tho with ACCC316 composite core superheated conductor, only used for sections crossing Tien River and My Tho River. ACCC ULS 314 load-bearing composite core superheated conductor. With a single line length of about 15.85km, the starting point is the 220kV gate column at highway compartments 271, 272 of the My Tho 220kV substation (existing) and the ending point is the column 220kV port at feeders 273, 272 of Ben Tre 220kV substation (existing).

At feeder 272 of Ben Tre 220kV substation, change the connecting conductor between devices, the connecting conductor to the line for 1 feeder to My Tho (existing 01xACSR 400mm2) into 01xTAL 660mm2; Replace the corresponding device terminal clamps at the wire replacement compartments.

At feeders 271 and 272 of 220kV My Tho substation, change the connecting wires between devices, the connecting wires to the lines for 2 feeders to Ben Tre (currently 01xACSR 400mm2) into 01xTAL 660mm2.; Replace the corresponding device terminal clamps at the wire replacement compartments.

After completion of the project, the load capacity of the existing 220kV Ben Tre – My Tho transmission line will be increased, improving load carrying capacity, contributing to releasing the capacity of factories in Duyen Hai Power Center to ensure stable power supply. , continuously to serve the economic and social development of Ben Tre province, Tien Giang province and surrounding areas.
