Construction of the two highest 500kV electric poles in Vietnam

The 500kV Song Hau – Duc Hoa line project is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), designed by Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 (PECC3) and is being designed by the Project Management Board. design. design. Southern Power Projects (SPMB) and related units urgently accelerate progress to be able to energize phase 1 in December 2019.

Each column has a height of 175m, 2 columns are 1,378 m apart, the double circuit 500kV line from the 500kV distribution yard of Song Hau Power Center to the 500kV Duc Hoa substation has a total length of about 134km.

The project also carries out construction and installation of equipment for two 500kV circuit breaker modules according to the existing 3/2 diagram.

The project is invested and built with the goal of transmitting the capacity of Song Hau 1 and Song Hau 2 power plants into the national power system. Transmitting the capacity of power plants in the Southwest region to the load center of Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces along with other 500 kV lines in the region (My Tho – Duc Hoa, Duc Hoa – Phu Lam, Duc Hoa – Cau Bong, Duc Hoa – Chon Thanh,…).

Create 500kV connections between areas in the power system, ensuring safe and stable operation, improving power supply reliability and reducing power loss for the entire system. In accordance with the National Electricity Development Planning Adjustment Project for the period 2011-2020, vision to 2030 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 428/QD-TTg.

Song Hau – Duc Hoa 500 kV line – Phase 1

Currently, phase 1 of the project is being urgently accelerated by the Southern Power Project Management Board (SPMB) and related units to complete in December 2019, in accordance with the guiding spirit of VNNPT.

In particular, the 2 pole positions crossing the Hau River are the 2 highest electric poles in Vietnam so far. Each column is about 175m high, the two columns are 1,378m apart. VNNPT has directed SPMB (project management unit) and Power Transmission Company 4 (supervision consulting unit that will undertake the operation management line) to focus on coordinating and supporting Construction Joint Stock Company. . Electrical system 1 (PCC1) was constructed on schedule and guaranteed quality for these two locations as well as the entire project.

Because the construction of erecting columns as well as pulling wires at these two locations is very difficult, complicated, and takes a lot of time, the completion of the span with these two columns greatly affects the overall progress of the whole project. EVNNPT has directed SPMB (project management unit) and Power Transmission Company 4 (supervision consulting unit, which will take over the line for operational management) to focus on coordinating and supporting Construction Joint Stock Company Electrical installation 1 (PCC1) is constructed on schedule and ensures quality for these 2 locations, as well as the entire project.

Mr. Truong Huu Thanh – Director of SPMB said: The 500 kV Song Hau – Duc Hoa line has a length of 133 km, is designed with 02 circuits, 4-wire phase conductors type ACSR 600/76, especially the passages. Hau River and Tien River use 4-wire phase separation reinforcement wire type AACSR 635/117. Currently, SPMB is focusing on completing phase 1 of the 500kV Song Hau – Duc Hoa line by mid-December 2019 to supply electricity to Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant for test generation. Phase 1 is 36.65 km long, including 78 locations. To date, construction contractors have completed casting 78/78 foundation positions, erecting 64/78 columns and are pulling wires. With phase 2 remaining 96.35 km, with 190 column positions, SPMB has handed over 24 foundation positions, approved compensation plans for 164 households, is calculating compensation prices for 1,958 households and is expected to Energize phase 2 at the end of 2020.

Energizing 500kV Song Hau – Duc Hoa line 02 circuits (Phase 1)

After a period of urgency and coordination from local authorities and relevant units, at 3:16 p.m. On January 19, 2020, at the 500kV My Tho substation, the Southern Power Project Management Board (SPPMB) and related units successfully organized the acceptance of 2 circuits of the 500kV Song Hau – Duc Hoa transmission line project (state 1).

The 500kV Song Hau – Duc Hoa line project is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), with SPMB managing and operating the project on behalf of VNNPT. The 500kV Song Hau – Duc Hoa line (phase 1) passes through 3 provinces of Hau Giang, Vinh Long, and Dong Thap. Phase 1, scope of energizing and accepting the double circuit of the 500kV line from the 500kV distribution yard (SPP) of Song Hau Power Center to location 78 (at location 78 is connected to 01 circuit of the 500kV Cell line ). Mon – My Tho, has a dual circuit grid diagram including: 500kV O Mon – 500kV SPP Song Hau line and 500kV My Tho – 500kV SPP Song Hau line), with a length of about 36.65 km. Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 design consulting units, Power Construction Joint Stock Company 1, Viet A Industrial Investment Group Joint Stock Company, Song Da Construction and Services Joint Stock Company , Electrical Construction Company Limited 2 is the construction unit. Power Transmission Company 4 is the construction supervision unit and will also be in charge of management and operation when the project is completed.

Song Hau – Duc Hoa 500 kV line – Phase 2

In phase 2 of the 500kV Song Hau – Duc Hoa line project with a total length of 133km, designed by Electricity Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 (PECC3) includes two circuits, 4-wire phased conductors. type ACSR 600/76, especially for the crossings of Hau and Tien rivers, use 4-wire phase separation reinforcement conductors type AACSR 635/117.

With phase 2 remaining 96.35 km, with 190 column positions, SPMB has handed over 24 foundation positions, approved compensation plans for 164 households, is counting compensation prices for 1,958 households and is expected to Energize phase 2 at the end of 2020.

The project is still under construction, there are currently some problems. Up to now, 188/210 positions have been cast, 1 position is being cast, and the remaining 21 positions are mainly in contract lot 18.3. The pole was erected in 184/210 positions, the rope was pulled 70.2/96.6km (corresponding to 24/35 anchor intervals, currently pulling 2 anchor intervals).

The situation of compensation and site clearance has been handed over and mobilized 208/210 foundation locations (02 locations have not been handed over including locations 266 and 267 in Long An province). The supply of materials and equipment has so far been fully gathered to the construction site.

For Long Phu 500/220kV communication transformer installation project, the following items have been completed: Installation of 01 500/220/22kV – 600 MVA transformer (AT1) at a spare location in the distribution yard 500/220 kV Long Phu; The 22 kV side has added 01 self-use transformer 22/0.4 kV – 560 kVA connected to the 22 kV side of the AT1 transformer; Complete the control and protection system in accordance with newly installed equipment.

Duc Hoa 500kV substation and connection officially completed

At 02:50 on May 7, 2021 at Binh Loi Hamlet (Hoa Khanh Dong commune, Duc Hoa district, Long An province), the Southern Power Project Management Board (SPMB) coordinated with related units to The agency successfully organized and accepted the 500kV Duc Hoa Transformer Station (TBA) project and connected it.
