PHASE OF 1 V1-3 WIND POWER PROJECT IN BEN TRE PROVINCE

PROJECT INFORMATION

On October 23, 2019, at the office of Ben Tre Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company, the signing ceremony of the General Contractor Contract took place between Ben Tre Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company and SIGMA Engineering Joint Stock Company for Phase 1. Phase 1 of Ben Tre V1-3 Wind Power Plant Project.

Ben Tre Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company has been approved by the People’s Committee of Ben Tre Province to invest in the construction of Ben Tre V1-3 Wind Power Plant with a total investment capital of more than 4,000 billion VND. This is an offshore wind power plant with a total capacity of up to 110MW located in Ba Tri District, Ben Tre Province, Vietnam. When the plant is put into commercial operation, it will not only help the Government achieve wind power capacity of 2000MW by 2025 but also support Vietnam’s transition to a
low-emission energy industry.

For the first time participating in the field of renewable energy, SIGMA Engineering Joint Stock Company has proven its capabilities by winning the general contractor contract for Phase 1 of Ben Tre V1-3 Wind Power Plant Project. This phase includes 07 offshore turbines with a capacity of 30MW. The turbines will be connected to the 110KV transformer station via a 15km long 22KV submarine cable and connected to the national power grid with 11km of 110KV lines. Phase 1 of the Factory is expected
to be commercially operational in the first six months of 2021.
