PROJECT INFORMATION
The project investor is the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) with headquarters in the Hanoi city.
The 500kV Quynh Luu – Thanh Hoa line project has a length of about 91.8km, the starting point is point D2, about 300m from the 500kV Quynh Luu transformer station (Nghe An) and the end point is the 500kV Thanh Hoa transformer station. The project passes through two provinces of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa; with a total investment capital of about 4,116 billion VND(164,8 million $).
Reducing the load on the current 500kV line ensures the N-1 criterion, especially when hydropower plants in the North have low generating capacity. Strengthening stable reserves at the North – Central interface, combined with the 500kV Quynh Luu – Thanh Hoa – Nam Dinh 1 – Pho Noi line, contributing to creating a strong connection from the center of North Central power sources to load centers in the area. The Northern region is an important basis for the power system to operate safely, reliably, stably and optimally, contributing to reducing power system operating costs.
